There are plenty of ways to save when skiing here in Utah. Here’s a few of the current deals we’ve found. In general, discount lift tickets for the many Utah resorts can be purchased at a variety of Salt Lake City outlets. While there are a number of interesting options, it’s hard to beat REI for discount, great enroute location and just a nice store to visit.
REI is probably the best spot to stop and save. The store location is only five minutes out of the way when you’re driving up from the airport to Park City. Simply take I-80 east from the airport through Salt Lake City. Just before you enter the canyon, the road forks. Take the right fork on I-215 south (this is NOT the I-215 you will hit just out of the airport). When you take I-215 south, you will get off immediately at 3300 South (33rd South). Just drive one block to the stop light and REI will be on the right. Some say you need to be an REI member. The store says they don’t really check that. But if you’re not an REI member, you really should be. It’s free, painless and you get a rebate on purchases at the end of the year.
