New Sound Garden on Park City Trail

There’s yet another reason to ride Park City’s Mountain Trails Foundation trail network. A new sound garden was dedicated Aug. 13 on Park City’s McLeod Creek Trail in a beautiful location alongside McLeod Creek — the work of artist Frank Youngman — entitled “Sound Treasures.” The three beautiful metal sculptures provide kids and adults alike a wonderful break to enjoy fascinating sounds and brilliant colors.

Park City Geocaching Class

If you want to checkout one of the fastest-growing outdoor adventures, sign-up for our June Introduction to Geocaching class, part of the Park City Community Education program. Yours truly, Tumbleweed & Cactus, will provide an exciting introduction to Geocaching and send you on your way to track down some of the more than 1,000 Geocaches hidden within 20 miles of Park City, Utah. The class is being offered Thursday evening, June 7, with a field trip Saturday morning, June 9. Space is limited and the class is filling fast, so sign-up today!

Redrock 2007

Spring is the time for our annual trek to the San Rafael Swell and Moab desert. This year Jeeped our way through the swell and tried a few short hikes to test Carole’s re-habbing feet, then headed to the Moab Photography Symposium for the weekend.
