On one hand it would have been cool to have been one of the 80,000 some Badger fans in the Rose Bowl. But Badgers are also about food. And this was an opportunity to roll out all the Wisconsin culinary delights in a veritable smorgasbord tailgate party at home for the New Year’s Day Rose Bowl.
I call it Italian season. When the leaves have fallen from the trees and the first snows are blanketing the mountains, it’s time to stock up on pastas and tomatoes, preparing for the hearty meals of winter. The storm windows are closed and the house takes on a wonderful aroma as the pasta sauce festers on the stove.
Carole really outdid herself with a great seasonal dessert at a dinner party recently. Checkout this fabulous Turtle Pumpkin Pie! It’s simple and easy to make and will be a big hit.
