Green River Rock Art

The central Utah region is full of rock art sites depicting the lives of the Anasazi hundreds of years ago. It’s fascinating to find new panels to view. And we found an outstanding display just seven miles outside of Green River on a secluded canyon road.

Tubing at Soldier Hollow

We’ve been meaning to checkout the snow tubing at Soldier Hollow for a few years. Tonight, we finally did it, along with Carole’s brother Nick and family from Indianapolis. It was an absolute blast! It’s a first class operation from start to finish!

Santas Set Record at The Canyons

It was a banner year for Santas at The Canyons’ annual Santa Skis Free Day Dec. 16. After a somewhat slow 2006 event, 30 Santas turned out to make a few turns, pose for pictures and freak out people all over the mountain. Fun was had by all.

New Sound Garden on Park City Trail

There’s yet another reason to ride Park City’s Mountain Trails Foundation trail network. A new sound garden was dedicated Aug. 13 on Park City’s McLeod Creek Trail in a beautiful location alongside McLeod Creek — the work of artist Frank Youngman — entitled “Sound Treasures.” The three beautiful metal sculptures provide kids and adults alike a wonderful break to enjoy fascinating sounds and brilliant colors.
